As a major healthcare organisation, Exeter-based Devon Doctors - and its subsidiaries Devon Health and Devon Dental - decided they needed a comprehensive rebrand, befitting of a company with a turnover of almost £20million. The Brand Mill created a new brand signature consisting of two upturned, stylised D-shapes in contrasting shades of green to match those used on the livery of the emergency response vehicles. The design symbolises Devon’s rural environs and more specifically the National Parks of Dartmoor and Exmoor. A sharp, angular typeface was chosen to contrast with the organic curves of the brandmark. Marketing collateral was produced to support the new brand, including a range of patient support leaflets, exhibition displays and a 28-page annual report.

When June Campbell needed to take her Ironbridge Soap range to the next level, The Brand Mill performed a minor refresh on her existing brand identity, before applying it to a new range of soap, liquid soap and body lotion packaging. Before creating the new packaging, a dilemma was faced: How to convey the product’s purity without them appearing stark or downmarket, and how to make the packaging 'work harder' without seeming too vulgar and mainstream. Each of the fragrances was colour-coded from a palette of seven earthy hues, whilst a one-piece sleeve was developed to replace the tissue paper and labels that previously packaged the traditional soap bars.

Kiddoozy are Lancashire-based fashion agents specialising in the sourcing and introduction of baby and children's clothing brands from across the globe - including Bebobio (France), Caracol (Portugal) and Elisa Menuts (Spain) - to the UK. These high-end labels promote the use of quality, organic materials and European manufacturing. The Brand Mill were asked to create a brand identity - a playful design which shared its colour-way with a sister company was chosen - and a clean, elegant website that competed credibly with Kiddoozy’s established, London-based competitors. Whilst the website has a contemporary appearance, given that Kiddoozy is a brand that’s new to the market, The Brand Mill introduced content that made reference to Kiddoozy’s home in Lancashire, with its history of cotton mills and textile production, to create a stronger sense of provenance.
